MARKET LIVE: Sensex rises 700 pts, Nifty atop 16K; Reliance, L&T up 3%

Sectorally, Metals, Auto, Media and Pharma indices on the Nifty led gains, rising upto 2 per cent. Remaining pockets were also firmly in green. Nifty IT, Realty, Energy and FMCG were other notable gainers.

As of 11:45 am, the Delhivery IPO had been subscribed only 29 per cent on the last day of the offer period. Retail investor and QIB portions were subscribed 45 and 37 per cent. NIIs were subscribed only 2 per cent.

Meanwhile, Venus Pipes and Tube’s issue had raced ahead of Delhivery and had been subscribed 6.44 times, led by retail investor category that had been subscribed 10.8 times. NII’s portion was subscribed 3.9 times.
