FT Schools competition: climate change

School students are invited to enter the joint FT and Royal Geographical Society competition on climate change and sustainability. 

Those studying A level geography or the equivalent have until September 30 to write an essay of up to 1,000 words or an ArcGIS StoryMap, selecting and analysing data on sustainability and climate change to tell the geographical behind it. 

Entries should be based around the Cop-26 2021 aims ‘to increase climate ambition, build resilience and lower emissions’ and should consider a variety of scales — from local to global. 

The judges will seek entries supported by evidence, making a clear argument and with referenced sources of information and data. The best will be published by the FT and the RGS.
