Leading the Way: phoenix|x-ray to Introduce 180 kV 2D and 3D X-Ray Inspection Systems
14.02.2007 -
phoenix|x-ray is proud to present yet another technological milestone. As of today, phoenix|x-ray's microme|x, nanome|x and nanotom inspection systems will come standard with a 180 kV high-power X-ray tube and improved, inhouse developed, ultra high-performance generator technology.
Once again, phoenix|x-ray has pioneered the next ground-breaking development in ultra high-resolution X-ray inspection technology, setting a new standard for both 2D and 3D X-ray inspection technology.
With this incredible upgrade, which comes at no extra cost and will greatly improve image quality, phoenix|x-ray has succeeded in taking both 2D X-ray inspection and nanoCT to the next level.
Unlike traditional tubes of 160 kV or less, the new 180 kV ultra high-performance tube makes inspecting highly radiation-absorbent samples such as electronic assemblies, with or without heat sinks, or those made of steel, easy as never before. Also, 180 kV nanoCT
units, both nanome|x and nanotom, are the ideal tool for the lengthwise inspection of BGAs.
And there is more: The microme|x, for ultra high-resolution 2D X-ray inspection, and the nanome|x, the versatile, all-in-one system for 2D and 3D X-ray inspection (nanoCT
), will come standard with a fully digital 2-Megapixel image chain with 24” TFT display. For the nanome|x, a 4-Megapixel fully digital image chain with 30” TFT display is available also. The nanotom
, phoenix|x-ray’s nanoCT
unit for ultra high-resolution 3D X-ray inspection, even comes standard with a 5-Megapixel fully digital image chain.
This combination of a 180 kV high-performance tube and an ultra high-resolution, fully digital image chain is unprecedented and makes for outstanding image quality and optimal inspection results for even the most challenging inspection tasks.
